Don't let the past bite you...

Here I am starting this new life... and my father is dying in Prison... Yes things that he did on his own account but nevertheless... what can I do... I am here and he is there.... and I am left picking up the pieces... Now apart of me says that he has been dying for a really long time and there is nothing that can stop the inevitable... but I just feel like I should just say that I love him one more time... that if I can't forgive him by letting him know that I know he was wrong but that I still love him... well... how will I know that I am truly forgiving anyone that hurts me...
